ISPS Security and Safety
Aabenraa Port complies with the International Maritime Organization's requirements for port facility security, known as ISPS.
This is a legal framework for maritime security and is a combination of preventive measures designed to protect maritime traffic and port facilities against threats of intentional unlawful acts. The main element in securing international ports is to ensure that ships have been in a secure port facility in connection with their onward journey.
Access to the port's facilities is controlled by fences, gates, and video surveillance. Only persons with valid ID cards or registered guests are allowed to be present at the secured facilities at Aabenraa Port.
Registration takes place at the port office.
