Recreational Fishing

Recreational anglers are still very welcome at Aabenraa Port. We know that you bring joy and life to the quays – therefore we have made fishing possible at selected locations under safe conditions.

Fishing is permitted 24 hours a day, year-round from the stone edge at the bottom of Nyhavn by Kilen (green area in the photo below)

You can also fish on certain quay sections 6, 7 and 8 when the port's normal working hours are over and there are no ships in port (blue area in the photo)

The port's working hours are:

  • Monday–Thursday: 06:00–16:00
  • Friday: 06:00–15:00

At quays 6, 7 & 8, the gates close at 22:00, and the lights are turned off at 22:20 if there are no ships in the port or planned arrivals.

After the lights are turned off, the port recommends for safety reasons that fishing be discontinued – and that the area be vacated.Illustration of areas where fishing is permitted in Nyhavn Illustration of areas where fishing is permitted in Nyhavn[/caption]

Safety and Access

Fishing is not permitted if there are ships at the quay (parts or the entire quay section may be closed)

You must always comply with signage, fencing and instructions – and all movement and fishing is at your own risk
